I replaced the bellows and shift cable on my 1994 20 foot Sea Ray with an alpla one lower unit. I can get the lower unit to engage in both forward and reverse gears without issue. My problem is when I hook up the spring loaded shift assist and place the drive in forward gear it becomes difficult to move the throttle forward. No issues with the throttle in reverse gear only in drive. If I remove the shift assist the throttle works fine in forward gear. Any suggestions?
