Sea Star Hydraulic Steering

We just took delivery of a new outboard SeaRay runabout equipped with a 150 Merc 4-stroke and hydraulic steering. I've had all sorts of systems in the past but this is my first hydraulic. No documentation came with the boat.

There is a port on the dash capped with a rubber plug, presumably for filling the hydraulic fluid. I can see a reservoir under the dash, but nowhere do I see a spot to check fluid level.

Any words of wisdom regarding routine maintenance and troubleshooting would be appreciated.

Thanks. I saved the link. Actually, the "package" with owner's manuals was quite complete. This seemed to be the only one missing.

Sea star itself is pretty reliable. Follow the manual and it should be fine. Just don't use anything but sea star fluid. Pricy, but worth it in my opinion. Seen a few that were filled with whatever was handy, and I had to flush and repair/replace helm units and stuff.
