Anyone use teleflex 4.2 NFB (No Feedback) steering?

Hey folks,

I have a 19' aluminum CC and I am putting a 2 stroke 150hp Johnson GT on there. I was wondering if a single cable NFB system would suffice? I can get a brand new system for $200. Id like to go hydraulic, but best price I can find for my particular engine is $650. Yikes!!

That's all I have on my 22'. No problems. Can walk away from the helm on plane.

That's a darn good price for a hydraulic if the price includes the cylinder, helm and hoses. The best I could find for mine was closer to $1,000

The system I was looking at was the Baystar system, which is rated for 55mph or less, and 150hp or less. What size motor do you have on the 22'? Thanks for the feedback!!

I'm running a 200. Need to jump up to the SeaStar system.

I might make the leap if and when my cable system ever gives up. Ten years and waiting....never should have installed that steering guard lube fitting..

I say might install a SeaStar because I know of number of people who had issues with the Sea System leaking when it gets cold. Simple fix, but still...I do a lot of boating in the cold
