steering cable

I have a 1984 ranger boat with a 150 Yamaha pro 150. IM trying to replace the steering cable.
their are no numbers.
it looks like a Teleflex
how do I figure out the correct one to order
any help would be appreciated

There is no small embossed numbers in the jacket on the outside of the cable, it would be close to one end or another. You can also take it out and measure it and get a cable from Teleflex based on those measurements, it is easy, I am sure Iboats also sells replacement steering cables as well. Normally they emboss them and color them with white or red in the embossed numbers but after this amount of time, the coloring flakes off and it is more difficult to see those numbers..

Per the above advice, contact Teleflex. They will want to know if your unit is rack and pinion, scroll, integrated or separate cable etc., tilt or solid steering wheel. Remove the cable, or entire unit if integrated cable. Measure the cable sheath length. Teleflex can give you a p/n with this info.

thanks for the advice. I ordered a new cable.
I also need gauges. having a hard time finding ones direct fit.
I have a Yamaha 150 pro
any advice where to find
or a gas tank
