I am new to this forum and I just recently purchased a 1975 Chrysler boat with an 85 Hp Force outboard motor. The steering cable is fine; but I am trying to get a photo or instruction about how it connects the motor. Currently, I have Gerry-rigged it with a bolt through the center hole; but that does not seem right.
Does anyone know or have a picture of the correct way to connect mechanical steering cable to the motor?
I have not been able to upload a picture; but I would appreciate any information, especially a photo.
