How can air be purge out from a houseboat hydraulic steering system?
The system is on a 1978 Holiday Mansion houseboat with a flybridge. Looking at the hydraulic cylinder there don't seem to be a bleeder valve on it. There are threaded plugs on each wheel housing. When steering from the lower helm it seems to be ok but when seering from the flybridge wheel has to be turned about 1/4 of a turn before anything happens.
The flybridge was removed on this boat when it was transported to its new location.

I don't know why I didn't think of that. I guess that I'm not as smart as some people. I thought perhaps with the unit being that old someone might of had similar problems and had ideas to help correct this.
The original mfgr. of this model boat went out of business years ago and there is very little info.to help identify the system.
