I have a 98 Alumacraft Tournament Pro 175CS.
Need to connect the batteries for a 24 volt trolling motor. There are 2 receptacles in the boat, one at the rear and one at the front.
There are 8 wires paired as follows
  • Red, Black
  • Orange, Black w/Blue Stripe
  • Red with a "breaker", Black
  • Orange with a "breaker", Black /Blue Stripe
For the life of me, I cannot figure the connections out.

:welcome: aboard Scott, great to have you join us...

For a 24 volt setup, you will need the two breakered pairs. The red and black and the orange and Black with blue strip. Battery1 will have the breakered Red and Black pair attached while battery2 will have the Orange and Black with Blue stripped wires attached. If your trolling motor does not have a 12volt or 24 volt switch, then the Red will be the positive wire to the trolling motor and the Black with Blue Strip will be the negative wire to the trolling motor. The Black wire from the battery 1 will connect to battery 2 positive terminal at that battery boxes. OR the Black wire from battery1 will be connected to Battery 2's Orange wire at the trolling motor connector outlet. .
