minn kota conversion

I got a 555 remote a a yard sale, It has a small handle and a single on/off switch mounted on top;. HIGH only. red,black,green,blue,and yellow(OR WHITE) wires coming up from the motor. It runs great, and the manual op is just what I need, but I need medium and low too! I need some kind of switch? black and red make it run. black and ANY of the other wires does nothing.

After looking through the schematics I think you have a 55W Minn-Kota,hand control,4 speed motor and the way you describe it you are in need of the 4 speed switch that goes in the head of the motor. If this is correct you need part #206-400 or288-4009 but it sure is hard to know with so little info.
