Re: battery problem

2 6v battery systems have been dicussed here, use search to locate.

How long are you trying to run your motor? Hours? Days?

Make sure you are using a deep cycle marine battery.
What is the amp hour rating on the battery?
How many reserve minutes?
Proper fluid level?
Fully charged when you start to use it?
Have it load charged at Walmart or auto service center. You could have a bad cell.
Double check your trolling motor that it is a 12v unit. Or that it is hooked up properly if it is a 12/24v unit.

You should be able to run 8-10 hours with the right battery, unless you are fighting river current all day or running wide open for hours.

If all else fails, you can run 2 12v batteries. This will increase your troll time by about 2.5 times.
