wiring trolling motor

i have a 12foot boat and i want to run wire from battery to the front of boat. i have a minn kota endura 40lb trans mount what gauge wire needs to be ran? plus i am useing a minnkota battery box with charge lite and cir.breaker built in the box . do i need any thing else?

#6 wire will be good. You may be able to get away with #8 but I wouldn't.

6 ga wire. You are going to need something to terminate the transom end of the wire, plug or studs to connect trolling motor leads. Also going to need lugs to crimp/solder onto the wire where it connects to the battery box. Heat shrink tubing to cover your wire connections, adhesive lined if possible.
