I am finally putting my dash together with all new guages and thanks to all the help and posts here. My volt guage has the following terminals.
light, ground, 12 volts and send. What do I connect to the send terminal. I thought you just passed the ground and 12 volts through it with extra conductor from nav light circuit to light it up?

thanks

That is strange. What do the instructions say? You can usually download them from the manufacturers website.

Re: volt guage wiring

A voltmeter requires only +12 volts and ground., Gauges are built using the same plastic housing so even though there is a send terminal, don't use it. It is simply not needed. A voltmeter, gas gauge, temp gauge etc can all use essentially the same meter movement but with a different scale. A voltmeter is the only gauge of the three that doesn't need a send terminal but from a manufacturing standpoint, why not use the same pieces to build it.
