Thought I had seen everything....but no
Today I was asked to take a look a a person's bilge pump.
It seems that Mr. Joe E. Bagodonuts decided to wire his own, brand new bilge pump and float switch by him self.
The new installation causes the fuse to blow every time the float switch is lifted.
He had one leg of the float switch connected to his panel bilge pump switch and the other leg of the float switch was wired directly to the engine ground.
He kept blowing fuses when ever the float switch was lifted.....gosh
The pump was connected directly to the battery ground and the bell housing ground and the exhaust manifold mounting bolt. Auto pump with three wires.
Hope he stays away from the fuel system.
