Gas guage

99 Doral 170BR When the engine is turned off my gas guage reads empty, when the boat is running, it is stuck on 3/4 full. I think it is the sending unit, trying to find a new sending unit. Cant find one for this boat?

See if you can get any markings from the existing sender and also if it is the 'tube' type or the 'swing arm' type. then you will have a good idea of what sender it is and where to source a replacement.

Be wicked careful in working with the fuel system of your boat.

Why do folks always seem to want to replace the most expensive part of a system before actually determining if the part is bad. Remove it and check it's operation. THEN if it's bad replace it. It may be as simple as the float is hanging on the side of the tank. Adjust it accordingly.
