I have a 1987 omc 3.0 that developed a misfire while under load I already changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor ,and coil also fuel line it’s been changed over to electronic ignition already before I purchased it

The volt gauge bounces around

I’m at a loss any help would be greatly appreciated

welcome aboard

your voltage gauge should be rock solid steady and not move

check all your connections

it wouldnt be the coil, so you just spent $50 for nothing

check the plug colors and report back.

Also check the backside of the instrument panel and ignition switch, put you fingers on every terminal to see if there is a loose connection.

missfire would have me checking compression and valve adjustment. It's just a Chevy and should have hydraulic lifters so you can adjust them running most likely
