I'm looking to replace my Lowrance X52 fishfinder that came with the boat to a GPS/chartplotter/fishfinder unit. I'm more interested in the GPS feature. At first I was just going to get a tablet and Navionics but I know the tablet or phone will overheat in no time in the SC heat/sun. So that's out of the question.Stinks cause I really liked what I saw using the trial version.
Does anyone know of units that can use the same wiring as the X52? I'm not sure if I would need to relocate the wiring for a bigger unit. Right now it's in front of the windshield on the bow making it easier for the fishfinder duties but that location makes it difficult to watch while driving.
