Sirius "Invalid Ch"

My 06 Four Winns has a Clarion CMD4 head unit with a Sirius Sir-CL1 satellite receiver. I enabled the radio using the number printed on the back of the receiver but when I tried it, the head unit would show updating then always ends up showing "Invalid Ch" even when I try the presets.

Investigating online I pulled the radio fuse, pressed the head unit reset button, unplugged the CeNet cable from the sirius box and no matter what it does the same thing.

Any help prior to buying a new satellite receiver?

Has it ever worked? It might be worthwhile checking on your subscription with Sirius.

New boat to me, previous owner said it worked. I recently enabled the sirius subscription for it. Before it would do nothing, now that its enabled, I get the updating thing but always invalid channel
