Hello everyone,

My key switch broke and i am having trouble tracking down what i need. I have a 75 bayliner with a 87 force 125. The old switch was a 6 terminal long shaft 3 position with terminals B,C,M,M,S and A. I found mp39090 at west marine, only difference is the A terminal was a I. Motor would not start. F5h078 seems close but still different. Guessing it won't work? Any thoughts or ideas?

Looking up your engine model under parts suggests F5H078 looks to be the latest OEM key switch going by your long barrel description (1‑7/16 in.(36 mm) as F5H268 (or old # F5H077) should be the short (1/2 in.(12.7 mm) barrel.

Though I can't confirm as there doesn't seem to any images available and it's no longer available, the key you have now may be F5H269 - Switch Kit-LONG

Found some wiring diagrams for each key switch.
