V2 PowerDrive not responding to foot pedal

My 3 yr old bow mount stopped rotating by foot pedal commands. On/Off and variable speed continues to work. When I disassembled the plastic levers last summer I could effect control by manually pushing the soft switches by hand. What could be the deal?

Couple of things. 1) Sand or other debris gets into the foot pedal preventing movement of the pedal from actuating the soft switch. 2) Check the soft switch carefully. Stomping on the pedal with a size 14 foot can rupture the membrane over the soft switch. While it works by hand it may not actually operate via the pedal.
