Raymarine E7D flickering screen - workshop/rebuild guide?

Hi all, my E7D has a badly flickering screen. I've seen a few posts about cleaning contacts, etc to get it working again, so was going to take it apart to have a look around. Raymarine want £300 + VAT to fix it which is pretty extortionate for an older unit like this.

Any workshop manuals or advice on rebuilding these things would be very much appreciated, as I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for in there.

I'd guess/start with power supply problem.....Internal of course.

Probably bad filter cap in a switching power supply. I heat suspected caps with soldering iron tip while watching the display while heating each suspect cap in turn.

When ya hit the right one, POOF, the display reacts/corrects itself.
