I purchased a direct replacement faria sn2060a thru hull transducer. I can’t figure out which way I must turn the sensor for correct angle. It has a notch on top of the threads. But no other markings for placement. I can’t find any instructions either. I’m attaching images from the web. Thanks in advance

What makes you think it’s adjustable?

There are two types of thru hull transducer.

The first requires a fairing block shaped to match the dead rise of the hull.

The other is a “tilted element” transducer. The internal of the transducer are tilted within the housing to counter act the dead rise of the hull.

A 20 degree tilted transducer is good for 20 degrees, plus or minus 4 degrees.

I have a 20 degree tilted on a 22 degree dead rise

I just don’t know which way to pace the notch. It is a tilted element. Do I point notch to keel or front of both. I’ve seen people say either

I don't think that's a tilted element unit. I could not find anything saying it was. Where did you find out that it was tilted?

the orientation is clearly marked on my Airmar transducer B160. Arrows point to the keel
