Hello all, doing walleye fishing here in tn! Wanting to upgrade my electronics on my fishing pontoon. I'm thinking I want an ulterra with i link, for the GPS and anchor and setting lines for trolling. What is your opinion on the longevity of one of these when used to troll at 1.5 mph?

I like the garmin echomap 93sv plus for my graph. However it will not work with I link will it? Is I link that great? Never used it. Trying to get a combo that works well together. I also like the bluetooth capability of the garmin. But would a helix better serve my purpose because of the I link?

any info appreciated.
thanks
j

Depends on where you are fishing for walleye. Many of the small sloughs off of the Menomonee river we fished for walleye, you couldnt get a boat in there, so you simply tossed lines and cought fish

you know that ilink only works with humminbird, however you can use ipilot with garmin

I would go with the Ipilot as well.

In this day and age, cant see buy anything proprietary between brands.
