I am in the market to get 2 new EverStart batteries.
Went to walmart, found they have about 4 to choose from .
1 Battery will crank my 50hp nissan, and run nav lights, horn, and finder.
2nd battery will run my 35 thrust trolling motor

Could someone tell me which route should I go with?
2 of the same?
How many amps min do I need to crank the boat?

1. 29dc - 845MCA
2. 24dc - 690MCA
3. 24ms - 625MCA
4. 27dc - 750MCA

Welcome to iboats.

Only need about 450 MCA for that motor, unless its a dpi type engine with a sensitive computer.
Some of them a finicky about keeping the computer going while there is a temporary voltage drop while starting.

Marine Starting for the engine.
Deep Cycle for the trolling motor.

Get the biggest battery they have for the your trolling motor, so it doesn't run out of power during the day.

DC = deep cycle battery for the trolling motor
MS = motor start for the outboard

I'd use the 29DC for the TM, and the 24Ms for the outboard

And get rid of those Neverstarts, replace them with quality batteries like Interstates. You'll never be sorry.

Never had an issue with Walmart batteries. Wally doesn't build them in be back room, they buy branded batteries from the only three majors making batteries.

When I had interstates, they would last 2 years tops. Same with Napa brands. Gave up and bought wally world batteries. 5 years and still working.
