Good afternoon all,

New to the forum and boating so please don't beat me up too bad. :stung:

Recently purchased a 1988 245 Vista from a local seller. Took her out on the lake before I handed the guy the check and everything seemed ok and ship shape. Well, a week ago, I went out to give her an interior cleaning, turned on some small fans as it was HOT, and didn't start the engine as the boat is connected to working shore power (120V showing on the onboard gauge). This past week I went out to start her for my first time and NOTHING. No crank, no nothing. Thought the battery charger might be bad. Came back today with a West Marine 350 amp jump box, and got her to crank atleast once and a partial but she still did not start. Battery switch was on "ALL". I'm kinda starting to think that the batteries will need a complete out of boat charging and re-install. I am 100% convinced the on-board charger is bad. Am I on the right track, or am I completely missing something?

what does your volt meter tell you when you are troubleshooting?

Sounds like you are on the right track
