I know this is a pretty old thread.......I just wanted to see how those REX 607's are holding up. I'm getting ready to start an upholstery project on my boat this winter......and I'm trying to find a decent walking foot machine that will sew up several layers of marine vinyl. I'm not going into business...so it's hard to justify spending $1,000+ on a used "professional" machine......and I've searched the used market, and unless you really know what you are looking for.....it's pretty overwhelming. If you can even find a nice old Singer, Consew, or Juki walking foot machine.....people seem to want a fortune for them.....

So I'm back to looking at the $300-$500 REX 607 or Consew CP20RL (or any of the other clones out there).

How have the REX 607's been holding up?
