Thanks guys, trying to keep things moving along, eve though its getting cold again.

I figured i'd add some tabbing to the outer hull edges before fairing to make sure things hold together i rough water.

I also trimmed and cleaned up the edges of the transom planks, and pb's around the center wood rail.

It was cold today, so I used the lamp to heat the resin, ad the torpedo to heat the work area.

Yesterday I moved the final motor out of here and into the other building, and with 2 large outboards, the 2 aq171's from the Imperial, the 5.0 and trans from the Monte ss, and all the outdrive assemblies, it was crowded to say the least lol, so temporarily put the cap back on the checkmate, and moved it in with the skiff to work on

It isnt as bad here as it was supposed to be. I just went out and shook the boathouse roof to get the ice and snow off. It is sleeting and snow mixed now and supposed to do this all night.

You saw that too? I wasn't going to say anything...didn't want to upset Mr. Zool.

But it does look pretty sweet despite the piles of crap all over it.

Im thinking maybe that was the missing ingredient for the stain color...

revised formula: Cognac, Bombay, and Excrement. ;)

Update:

Today i went out back and the epoxy cured enough to start working on prepping the bottom for fairing.

The hull edge tabbing was full of unraveled strings and resin puddles.

I started working the areas from the stern forward on both sides with various power sanders.

Started with 60 grit up to 100.

When I got most of the cloth feathered out, I switched to hand block sanding with 150 grit. I also cleaned up the glue edges on the keel.

Worked it till the cloth completely blended to the hull.

Got most of the bottom prepped for a leveling coat of compound, then a final skim coat.

Had enough for the day at this point but satisfied with the results, I hate sanding epoxy and cabosil almost as much as grinding glass lol

Does Glen-L provide assistance with what to expect from the inspection? That could help.
Cheers
