So I picked up a new worm dangler the other week, a 27.5' 1974 Bayliner Victoria.

It is in awesome shape structurally and mechanically, however the insides could use some attention. I am going to attach a few pictures so you get the idea. My thoughts are to put bunk beds on the right, and restore a captains chair for the command bridge. Right now the fly bridge is the only one that is comfortably usable, everything on the one below works, however it would be a pain to use it as you can see.

Does anyone have any pictures what these things looked like from the shipyard?

Thoughts, comments, ideas are all welcome.

Thanks,
Mike

Shes got a 302 with (if I remember right) an Alpha one? I looked at a lot of boats recently and I cant keep them all in my head. I know its got a 302, just not sure on the outdrive.

Speaking of which, 302 seems a little small for the size of the boat. Is that a common setup or do they usually run larger? This is my first cruiser :joyous:

I've seen sb/alphas in a lot of older 'big' boats... they dont go anywhere fast lol but they work.. Merc did use the 302, but not for quite a while now, so it's likely a pre alpha (R or MR series I believe) and nothing wrong with them, they do the job.. not overly tough tho. Could be someone updated it tho.. got pics of motor/drive? If you are wanting to go fast(ish) a merc 260 (350 sbc) with an alpha II repower would help, but a big block/b3 would be the best option. (bigger $$$$ is all) All depends what you want to do with the boat, and how much $$$ you want to throw away.. I mean, into it..
