Repairing steering wheel for 54 Chris Craft

Can any one tell me how to repair the cracks and discoloration on a 54 Riviera? It looks as if the wheel is made of some sort of plastic.

I'm not exactly sure if this is what you need, but here it is anywas. I have seen it produce nice results for car wheels so it may work. repair kit <br /><br />I found it with a google search for "steering wheel repair"
