First time poster, long time info hunter of this site.

I finished restoring a 1978 Lund S-18 Big Resorter last summer, Over the winter I acquired a 1970 Johnson 40EL 70A, This thing is immaculate, still has the Super Quiet emblem on the lower unit and the inside is clean, besides replacing some wires that where a bit dry rotted it looks in great shape. When i had purchased the motor it was listed as a 60's model, well after some easy investigations i found out that its a 1970, well i bought an omc tiller handle(still had hardware in burlap sack) but it was meant for a 60's. I was curious if anyone knows where to find a tiller handle for this year model Johnson? I've search a few other posts and found some great links but havent received any responses on this model tiller handle and mounting hardware, Just curious if anyone has one or has had better success with some other sites or people to contact?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Hunting for a tiller

here some pics.
I will sell the whole motor for 250$
it ran last year but needs points and coils now and a little work.
the neet thing is its a 20 hp but I have a 35 hp carb on it. wich make it run real stroung.
I could part it out if the handle is all you want make an offer for handle!
