Got any additional pics of the swim platform? Underside shots, etc?

I don’t have many... the glasswork wrapping around the curves, supports, etc is proving a challenge. I tried 1 layer of 1708 on the top side today while it was cloudy and 81*.... soon as I rolled out wet resin and laid the huge piece of glass, the sun decided to come out in full force! My plan was to layup both layers of 1708 in one shot... didn’t happen. I’m fact, my first layer sucked. I’ve been grinding out delam and dry spots all afternoon. Ugh....

pic of the underside... I promise the white spots aren’t dry... it’s 85* and I sweat like nobody’s business. I kept bubble rolling and rolling until I realized it was my sweat.

Btw, I tried my best to find L type brackets to mount the platform so I would just have a flat surface to glass. That proved harder than you think. The supports you see have 2 layers of tabbing, 2 wraps from the bottom, and will have two more from the top. They should suffice.

Alright gents! She is splashed!!!! Finished up platform Friday and spent the weekend at the lake. Engine runs great and the platform works beautifully.

Thanks guys! I’m super pumped. Engine runs like it’s supposed to and the platform came out way better than I hoped. Way more work than I initially thought, but came out great.

Wouldn’t you know it..... boat is fixed and running great...... now trailer needs more work. Complete hub/brake kits will be here next week. Probably for the best not out this weekend, supposed to be 100+f here in Georgia!! I’d just spend the weekend in the cabin with the air conditioning.

Trailer has new drums, brakes, bearings on one axle. Other two axles bearings greased. I’ve been working a ton and going to take a week or so out on the boat. 😂

Ciera2450 I am about to start a restore on a 1985 2450 Ciera Sunbridge. The boat has been stored for 5 years, covered and supposedly winterized before storage. The floor inside has rot and I am concerned about the stringers (haven't torn up the floor yet to look). My first priority is to test to motor, I've worked on cars, motorcycles, and one other boat so I am generally mechanically capable but by no means a mechanic.

1. Do you have any pointers/advice for first start so I don't ruin anything?
2. Do you know whether the stringers are fiberglassed?

Any help you can give will be much appreciated! I hope to fully restore this to "new" but want to validate the critical parts before diving in too deep in time and money.
