Looks great! Can you work inside without having the boat rock back and forth or is more support in the works? Or, on second thought, is the stern bottom flat enough that it's not an issue? My Crestliner has a V hull which would require a cradle of sorts... but not all boats are like mine now are they?

Just gotta love inguenuity! V8, my only thought (and it may not be a concern) is that while you do the interior it will get a lot heavier. Do you think it should be put on the trailer first? Your set up might make that a non issue. Great work buddy.

Some people say " They Can't"
        They are both right.

Hey FS no big deal as I am going to take it to the lake and leak check it before I put everything in permanently. I also got some of the decking cut out today and placed which was harder since my old decking was crap. anyway here are some pictures of the decking. here is the first piece

The hard part was getting the first curved piece cut. I still have to figure out how to cut out the scalloped sections to go down over the ribs without cutting out to much

why not take a 6 inch wide (or so) strip from scrap, experiment with the scallop cut to find the exact cut...then replicate "X" scallop on your permanent wood. Each one is what, 8 to 12 inches apart?

Thanks Cheap, I can do that. I could even use cardboard so I could cut it with scissors to make it easy.

I just think the carboard will flex and maybe give you a false reading?
Unless you have some stout cardboard...like fridge box or??

v8mgbal.......... got a good sense of humor?

I sincerely think that is NOT a Jupiter based on the 3 knee braces and the single stringer down the middle........ That looks just like my old Nassau!

Here is a Jupiter restore http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=388804

Here is a Nassau I used to own but sold prior to restore..... 1 stringer and 3 knee braces http://forums.iboats.com/showthread....=Nassau&page=3

Oh it's definitely a Starcraft or a very very very good counterfeit!!!

The question is this........ Since this post was initially geared towards a Jupiter ............ does that mean it has to be completely redone ????? Did we all give the wrong advice since we were thinking Jupiter?????

Dang, I have to start over.LOL. you could be right as I am just going by the ID plate that was on it and it said jupiter on it. also this is a 63 model so maybe that could explain it? I think I will do some more research.

You adopted her as a Jupiter..
Cared for her as a Jupiter..
Lovingly caressed your hand along her hull as a Jupiter..

Too late to turn back now....Jupiter she will always be, no matter what we say..

Maybe that was the original Jupiter model? That was later re-badged as a Nassua? It is really the structural items and hull shape that threw me.

I think I have proof as it has the two step pads instead of one like the picture of the nassau has.
