Sorry to hear that the wood boat wasn't worth the time & effort. Sad to see 'what might have been' after it's been too long neglected.... I think that it defines 'Forlorn'... Too bad really. I really love most of the vintage wooden boats. Large small, doesn't matter.

That keeps the possibility of BF#2 joining the boathouse:D Apparently, MBS is reaching epidemic levels round these parts. Better have the MRS make sure your vaccinations are up to date, or not..... I'm thinking of adding your 'BoatNerd' logo to my signature.

Have a great week..

That woodie looks ROUGH- You could build a new one for less that it would have cost you to fix that one... But I hate temptations like that. How was the windshield? Looks like a taylor- Worth more than he wanted for the boat!

The boat is in Texas. They do Not have the Title for the motor. Oklahoma says if I cannot get a title they will not title it. Owner will not sell boat without motor. No Deal!!

Yeah my thoughts too, but I thought it might be worth a look. My SIL said the owner told him it had been sitting outside in the elements uncovered for the past 5 years. Windshield had small crack. Don't know if it was a Taylor. SIL did not look close enough. Guess I'll build from scratch some day like Sea Nos~. The Glen L Malahini has my Name on it!!! The Tower of Power would Look GREAT on it.

This was my Friday off. Had some "Honey Do's" but got a couple of hours on the BF. No pics. Maybe tomorrow. Pedestals are Epoxied to the deck. Bow is sanded in prep for some 70? weather to repaint. Once I get the pedestals tabbed to the hull and they dry, I'll only be about two days of work away from SPLASH!!!! She's gettin REAL CLOSE. I'm startin to feel it now. My check list is getting pretty short.

Didn't happen then :)

I spent the day dodging tornadoes... Didn't get much boat work done!

Two days-hardly seems possible! (I know how sometimes 2 days worth of work can equal a lot more days, but hopefully the finish line is in sight!) You'll have lots more working time since daylight savings time starts next weekend. :)

That sucks about those twisters!!!! Stay alert and safe.

Yeah, 16 hours is two days but it might take me Two months to get those hours in.

Not sure yet. With the drought, my favorite Lake Skiatook is 18ft below normal so doubt it will be there. It may be Lake Oolagah or Keystone. Might be Archbuilders Lake Eufala. We'll see when the time comes.

wow, I have been so distracted lately I failed to keep posted with your progress....Thats outstanding wood! looks like you might reach the goal of a spring splash, wish I had been able to keep that goal as well, but there is always next year for a lil splash party!

Honey Do's nailed me today. I did sneak away and take a pic of the pedestals installed so I could prove I did do something yesterday.

Doesn't look like much, but hopefully I can tab em in tomorrow and then When i warms up I'll be able to paint the deck and get all of the interior finished.

Fine looking job, that boat is going to look nice on the lake. Splash is looking closer everyday. My family has a similar style boat sitting on the rock. It might have to get a facelift someday. I showed my Dad how nice we could make it look. He is impressed with your work. He said just think of the amount of paint we would have to take of her, he has painted it every 4-5 years with a roller and brush. I said ya she will probably never come back again. But you never know, I am beginning to like some of the older style boats even more :)
