Too funny, here's mine. I no longer have it but it was fun.

Funny, many of these hobbies seem to go together. 4 wheelin' and boating.

I work for Bobcat Company as a District Service Manager. I cover 25 dealers here on the east coast. Plenty of 610s still around and being used daily. Almost had my hands on one for $800 but it got away.

Where was that pic taken, looks familiar?

I rocked the Boggers on my rig, after I ran a set of Iroks. I did it because everyone said "you can't run Boggers on the rocks, you gotta get some krawler stickies lol. Whateva, it takes skill more than tires IMO.
My Boggers were cut, and they worked GREAT!

Rears were cut straight for lateral grip,

Fronts were cut on an angle.

I had her almost 10 years and just recently sold her. I'm thinking I shouldn't have though

My wife will kill me if I take another stock vehicle and mod the hell out of it, waste money, and sell it for a fraction of what I had in it

Boating takes care of my offroad itch. My wife enjoys it MUCH more than the wheeling, she always got out on the tough stuff, and was lucky to be spectating every time I rolled it!

Wow!!!!

I just found this thread. I am loving the boat man.

I also really respect your optimism and anything can be done attitude.

Can't wait to see the final completed project!

Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys,
no real progress... I did take it to the river and float it so I could winch it forward on the trailer... I have been working on other projects lately... The dually is back in shape but there are lots of other things that need my attention.... I am still hopefull that I can get back onto the boat project and maiden her this summer.

Well I cleared a big hurdle today.... I have been struggleing to get a title for this thing for months and today I got a call from the NYS title office in Albany NY..... They have issued my title and I should have it in 7 days.... I suddenly feel ALOT more motivated to work on this thing.... If you happen to speak with Karen in the title dept tell her I said hi :D She really worked to help sort this thing out.

I have a few engines to build and an engine swap to do on a truck and then I think I may acyually be able to get back on the boat.... maybe a couple weeks

Re: 1989 Wellcraft Monte Carlo ?'s and build

Well I FINALLY figured out the steering..... I helps to google "tie bar" instead of "tiebar" lol

There are 6 merc part numbers... 3 for port steering and 3 for starboard steering..... Since my steering cable hooks up to the starboard engine then I need the straight bar and since the parts boat had port steering it had a bar with several bends in it.... The part numbers for each style bar have 3 possible suffixes which correspond to 3 different length ranges and after selecting the correct kit you must measure and cut to length.

I picked one up on ebay for a song and it is now installed so I am one step closer to the water now

Wonder what do you have for its kicker, since it is a huge boat.

And congrats on getting the title. :)

Well it has two mercruiser 350 magnums.... which one is the kicker is anyone's guess LOL:D

thanks it sure lowers the stress level to have that out of the way

The ups man was good to me today... He brought me my new xintex gas fume detector with auto blower control... It is 2 5/8" round so it fits in place of the old analog clock in the dash:cool:

Well if anyone is wondering I haven't made any progress..... Had an injector go bad and burn up a piston in the dually along with several other hits I've taken..... The project is now on hold indefinately.... I still plan to finish it and post the progress here but with winter kicking in and other things it could be months or years now.... It definately won't maiden this year. Next will depend on work. Oh well....

Re: 1989 Wellcraft Monte Carlo ?'s and build

well the dually is back together... I actually have started thinking about the boat again.... I just sold my carver so I have a couple coins to rub together now... I'm cautiously optimistic that I might actually have this thing on the water for thunder over louisville this year (mid april)

Sure wish I had some energetic iboats local to come finish this thing for me LOL
