Re: Wellcraft Excel 1992 18sx

When doing the tune up earlier on in the project the side mount control was very tight. So i am thinking of replacing it with Uflex Side Mount Single Lever Control from iboats (Part # B184) but i want to make sure it will swap out pretty easily.

Any thoughts?

If you are doing a new controller I would do the cables at the same time, super easy to do and if the controller was stiff the cables can't be far behind on getting sticky, it is like 60 bucks for the pair and it will make the shifting silky smooth.

I got the radio installed. I was going to put it in the glove box but i didnt have the depth and i didnt want to cut out the back of the glove box. It has a detach face for security.

I have the 6 X 9 Speakers installed and wired under the stern area seating

Interior Pics on the previous page...

On the advice from superpop and others i ordered the control cables and once they come in i will install them and then get the side pannels installed.

Then the back to back and stern area seating will be installed.

Since you haven't had much work to do on this project, why didn't you rebuild and repaint the motor while she was out? LOL! Just kidding, Justin! Just started following this thread ... you have done an awesome job ... I will be looking for her on Raystown this year!

bear_69cuda thanks for forcing me to post!

PFalcon I got some tool box liner that i am going to play with for the storage compartments.. so keep and eye out.

Today I got the control cables installed and the control wired and installed.
The Control is nice and smooth now! the new cables are pretty nice and thicker then the old ones...

tomorrow i am hoping to get the rest of the interior in.

Re: Wellcraft Excel 1992 18sx

I have some clean up to do.. there is still a little bit of dust from up under the cap.. The shadows in the pics dont do the new vinyl any justice.. it makes them look dirty.. but they are brand new and clean.

Next step is Back to Back seats and then side storage compartments.

I still have to get the trailer fixed... wash and wax...

getting there though... :)

Looking Amazing!

Wish I could play camera chase boat when she hits the water!

Memorial Weekend around here is the one time to stay off the lake, or go to one of the "Fishing" lakes. I will go to Lake Lavon, safest of all the options around me and it's 1/2 mile from my door to the launch.

You will love the Tool Drawer Liner/Shelf Liner it makes everything quiet, and easy to clean up, and no moisture!

Keep the pics coming we all feel like we are a part of it!
