I think they have the Volvo SP outdrive. I have the 4.3 v6 volvo engine and it has the SP drive. I think the AQ125 would have it too but with different gearing.

No, the 125s came with a 270 outdrive with 2.15 gear ratio. Sp drive didn't come out for almost 5 years after the 125.

yes, you have a 230a motor which was previously known as the aq131 which came right after the aq125. two generations different.

I seem to remember you haveing some issues with your motor or outdrive. Hope you got them worked out.

Justin, you did a great job man! your boats looks better than new... i actually have almost the same boat as you, except 20' with an outboard. i just finished my stringers/floor. still debating what to cover the floor with. I might paint as well. How much did it cost you to have your upholstery recovered? came out great. have you had the boat in the water yet?

upholstery recovered ran me about 1000. I think i got a killer deal and it turned out great!

The paint on the deck has help up well! might want to go with the epoxy paint for more durability..

she floats really well.. thanks!

I am new to the site and a new owner of a 1994 Wellcraft Excel 18sx, I just wanted to say what an exceptional job you did restoring your boat, it looks great! I have a few spongy areas in my floor and I am probably going to have to do some work on the stringers, but I am going to enjoy the boat for a season before I tear her apart. I am not sure if I have the ability or patience to do a restoration like yours, but I was wondering if you had a rough estimate of the time and money you invested in your restoration?

I have a 92 Excel with a 4cyl I purchased used a few years ago. Anyone know the fuel capacity? The gauge has never appeared to be reliable and the gentleman I purchased it from said the boat will run 5 hours on a tank of gas. So far so good. Thank you in advance.

I didnt see anything about foam. how much foam did you put in and how did you do it.
