deck soft

i have a monark 16' v boat.my deck is soft in a few spots.i know i will have to repair this my question is.i have alot of oak hard wood flooring planks and im thinking of using this for the decking has anyone done this and what should i use to seal it so the wood shows

welcome to iboats. it's heavy, will not hold up to the elements, will swell, and shrink warp, crack. use 1/2 or 3/4 marine or exterior plywood sealed.

thanks for the responses.i will go with the plywood.this is an awesome sight glad i found it alot of questions answered.just by reading the forums

Sell the oak flooring and use the cash to fix the boat.
I just pulled up a whole house worth of old oak tongue and groove flooring out of an old house that was being torn down. The excess that I sold more than paid for all of my costs redoing two rooms.
