I was toying with the idea of adding a full width swim platform to my old tug while I am not doing the other 100 or so projects I have planned.
I have looked at buying one and may I just say "gimmi a break". They are a bit out of my price range. Anybody got any ideas on how to proceed? Wood, fiberglass?

i have seen several, where they took aluminum L and made a triangle of such, bolted to transom, then deck with like 1x6 wood.

Made a small one out of Rhino Plank (same as Trex and other similar plastic 1x6) and all stainless fastenings. Maybe find a neighbor that just built a deck.
