Hello all, I have read alot of great advice here..........I hope you guys can give me any advice, tips, pitfalls you know to look out for.
Thanx

I have a great 1964 Holliday that takes on water. Transom has been cheakd and is in good shape...I was suprised......The floor on the other hand needs attention. The floor was replaced before. There was 2 layers of half inch down. I have lifted all but the last section in the back of the boat. All the foam sections were removed. I am aware of gluvit...if you use it what about the drain slots in the bottom and sides????

I was thinking a three part approach......
1.Aluminum weld around rivets ,aluminum weld Seams inside.
2.gluvit.
3.Paint.
3.Pourable foam.
Then Get ready to put new boards down.

the hull thickness is probably to thin to weld. Gulvit is the aluminum boats best friend. paint would be a waste under the deck. gulvit goes a long way, just coat the whole area.

Howdy, Starcraft.

Welcome to iboats. :)

Ummm, ah. . .DECK. That is what boats have, not floors. Wouldn't want to sound like a landsman, now, would we?
