Hi eveybody... new boat owner here.

I wanted to paint my 21 footer boat. Whats the cheapest way to do it. I was reading some articles on "Roll and Tip" that sounded like something I can do. What brand and type of paint that doesn't cost too much is good for doing that. I just pretty much wanted to do the whole boat white.

Thanks.

Re: Boat painting.

That is a cool boat. I always liked those "Day Cruisers". I see a lot of them here in AZ. However, the paint scheme is a bit too 70's for me. I see why you want to paint it.

The roll and tip method works very well. I use the one part epoxies from Pettit or Interlux. Interlux calls theirs: Brightside. The paints flow out well and are as tough as nails once they are allowed to cure. They work fine for the bottom too as long as the boat is not moored, in the water, for more than a few days at a time. Although I've left them in for a week with no issues.
