66 Starcraft explorer delux 14

This is my first post and I am new to boating. My passion stems from my days clamming as a kid with my grandpa.

I have a friend willing to trade me for the attached. A 1966 Starcraft Explorer Delux 14ft

I will be included pictures and please advise what you think is best, I repair vintage motorcycles and always appreciated a vintage boat.

Don't trade anything you consider to have any value. Boat in that condition of that age being a fiberglass boat has a rotted wood structure and needs to be rebuilt. Total cost to rebuild will be ~$2k and the boat in usable condition would be worth ~$500 .depends on how much you like it. I know there are ways to obtain regi in CT easy enough

Any recommendations? Does this forum have any New York boaters?

yup... This boat just popped up in my local Craigslist. It's kind of high price, but it is summer after all. If you HAD to put a new transom/ deck in it, you would be out possibly $500.. Blue Fin/ spectrum had some problems with welded boats, but that one is a riveted boat. They are not as nice as a Starcraft construction though.
