very rough on the bottom

does it bother anything to have a very rough bottom from mutiple coatings of bottom paint that has chipped off and somebody painted over.I t is fairly deep i think in some areas.I was told that i should have it removed and paint it smooth.

however make sure that there isnt a problem under all those layers

be kinda hard to blast it on the trailer i would think. i think my boat is fairly heavy to remove from the trailer. but i am not sure.

Increased drag will occur from a rough hull bottom. As Long as the hull is structurally sound and she's water tight then it's purely a cosmetic and drag issue. Increased drag equates to increased fuel consumption and less speed.
