After 20 years with this boat, I am finally starting the restomod. All the wood was totally wasted, so removed that and in the process now of cutting new pieces. Any other Aluminum boat restorers out there? Any advise would definately be appreciated. I am missing one of the gunwale braces for the middle seat.

Today's progress... most of the detail stripping is done, ie rivets and sharp angles. Weather permitting, I should have her stripped tomorrow.

BTW My idea for this boat: a small runabout. Deck the prow to about 4' back. Battery trays under the deck as well as other storage. 20HP or 25HP motor w/remote steer and controls. If I can manage it, a windshield. The bench seats to remain as they are. Basically, a runabout like the ones my uncle and his friends had in the '60s and early '70s.
