Kicker Mount on swim platform

Hey guys,

I am mounting a kicker mount for a 9.9 trolling motor on my Ciera. Any recommendations on what I should use as sealant on the bolts going through the platform? I was thinking a good glob of marine silicone but I want to make sure it is sealed well.

3M 4200 is better choice if the mount could removed later, 3M 5200 for permanent mounting. We had a thread a while back on 5200 sealed swim ladder removal. I think he's still trying to get the ladder off.

Marine silicone should be left ashore for use on bathtub boats. This a shared opinion in the forum, so we're biased against it. Take that for what it's worth, Biggy.
