Adding Rear Sundeck too pontoon?

My pontoon I am currently restoring does not have a Rear Sundeck over motor area, nor does it have fencing back there that would support one. Im wondering if i could somehow add one, I was thinking the motor noise may be quite loud with out one and also would be nice to have one. Was thinking I could use some square aluminum to build frame.

Anyone done a similar project? Came up with more upper sundeck discussions while searching.

Ayuh,...... Welcome Aboard,........ I'm sure it can be done,.....

I'd be weldin' the bulk of it together, but still design it to be removable with just pullin' a few screws,.....

Closest I've done was weldin' up a semi-rigid bimini for my ole tinbarge,.....
All outa scrap aluminum from dumpsters,.....

If the issue is engine noise, a different approach might be going with a 4 stroke!
