Hey fellas. I'm wanting to remove my speedometer finger and plug the old holes off. Attach a transducer mounting block and install speedo finger and transducer on this. I was gonna take the screws out of the hull originally for the finger and fill the holes up with 5200. What do you guys think. Is this a pretty good fix or not

Are you mounting the new ducer block in the same location over the existing holes? If so that's will seal up fine if you use the 5200 under the block, if not then you might consider returning the SS screws to the holes with 5200 on them.

I used PC-11 epoxy (very similar to Marine Tex) to fill holes from old transducers, and it worked quite well. Cheaper than Marine Tex and available at ACE hardware stores and maybe WallyWorld, too. Nobody near me carries Marine Tex.

newspaper and bondo should work  That's what my father in law would of used!

5200 would be fine though.
