Hello,

Looking for some tips on installing these fold out lounge seats:

https://www.iboats.com/shop/wise-back-to-back-lounge-seat-weekender-series.html

These seats come with a plastic base - either 8 or 10 inches.

The thing is... I don't need a base at all... there is already one built into the floor of the boat.

I just need the seat only.

Any advise on attaching the seat directly to the existing base?

Thanks!!

You may not be able to. You will have to see if the slide tracks for the new seat have same dimensions and mounting as your old seats

I actually just found someone who did this exact thing...about 10 years ago: http://forums.wakeboarder.com/viewtopic.php?t=83008 "the two lounge seats for the driver and passenger i bought at overtons.com. the were perfect except the base of the seats was pretty tall. so i took my dremel and cut the base down maybe about 4 inches. then i mounted the seats over the original base of the existing seats. I cut off the sides of the original seat base so I had a flat base to attach the new seats to. " I think I am going to try the same thing - just cut the plastic base way down and put it on top of the existing built-in base...
