Hello, new to the site can't wait to get some old man knowledge on boats! Wifes pregnant so i did what any guy would do i went and bought my first boat! Shes an aluminum 15ft grumman kind of an unusual haul its like a cross from tri haul a v haul and the rivets are close together. She seems solid/ good bones bought it from a young kid and he through some carpet and ply on the front but its terrible.I want to strip it down to haul check for leaks add stringers and foam and put new sole in. The boat has 3 bench seats i would like to take middle out for room cause i mainly troll the river.The front and back benches are staying.Nstaying.New transom paint and the trailer is getting redone new axle leds ect... Iam a tractor trailer mech and iam experienced with alum fab work. This boat will also have console moved forward a ft and slightly raised higher. I have a pretty big list of wants lol all due time i will post pics along with my progress. Also refinishin baby room so i am busy.
