Hey everyone! I am new to boat restoration so I will have a ton of questions moving forward. I have been reading the forums for a couple months before finding our new to us boat.
List of things that I am planning:
1. Tear out floor and stringers
2. Remove Motor from transom
3. Cut out old transom
4. Repair fiberglass crack on inside of transom
5. Rebuild transom using Epoxy resin and plywood
6. Grind the daylights out of the hull
7. Place new stringers and bulkheads.
8. Finish the whole hull to completely encapsulate new stringers.
9. Add new flotation foam.
10. Install all new floor encapsulated in Epoxy resin and 1708
11. Build new side boards and seats
I am planning to hopefully have her on the water in June or 2019. Lofty goals I know, but I am going to try. BTW I am not going for a 100% perfect rebuild because I know I will never get my money back out of it. I want to use it for a couple of years while I rebuild my SeaRay Cabin Cruiser.
