Acquired this boat from a farm estate in central Washington. 27' 305 v8 Volvo Penta 280 dual prop. It was long time family boat but the condition was unknown. It appeared to have recent exhaust manifolds and Edlbrock intake.
put new tires and wheels on the trailer before We could tow it 1 hour home.

Arrived Home to my surprised wife. She cried when she saw it. It was full of wet everything filthy and and smelly. and cramped. I removed many Contractor grade bags of junk from a former life. It also contained a journal kept by the owners wife then later He wrote in it. Included was Happiness, joy,Friends, kids then degrading into infidelity, divorce and loneliness.

First things I did was to remove the aft cabin, v-birth enclosure and soggy flotation under the floor. A sazall worked great DEMO DAY!.

Next looked over the trailer. it's very solid. Ditched the surge brake and bought loaded electric backing plates. Only cost about 350.00. Very easy conversion. sure beat messing with the old surge brakes and my f150 has the built in controller. Got rid of the old ez-loader square ugly fenders. went to diamond plate units.

Next tackled the systems.. The former owner had dementia. but loved the boat but He did sorts of goofy things. Steering adjusted full to the starboard, wiring all crossed up and several of the intake bolts were too long. got it all straightened out and looked over the out drive. she fired up and runs but defiantly low on power.

The wife is much happier now and after much tinkering we have been using it for our summer vacations. we love to go camping on it. there are many large wonderful lakes in the region. we can camp any where we want and barley touch the land and see few other people. Kootenai lake BC, Hungry horse near glacier park, Dwarshack Dam on kootenai river in Montana. Lake Roosevelt-Grand coulee dam on the Columbia and More.
The wife is very happy now
