1975 starcraft ss open bow 3 liter omc 140 hp

looking for information on replacing/ repairing the wood engine mounting blocks. I have several lag screws ( I think they are lags) that are loose and will not tighten. i have a seloc manual for the boat but cannot find information on the mounting blocks. if this is not the correct forum please redirect me...thanks

seloc manuals make good knee pads, however are not worth the paper they are written on

they also do not cover the boat

you have to pull the drive, pull the motor, re-make the mounts, then in-stall the motor, align the motor and install the drive.

if the blocks are bad, how is the transom?

transom appears to be good, not perfect but ok. I have reworked the white leg of death and rebuilt the intermediate housing(without removing the motor I managed to remove it from the back). looks like I have a fair bit of work ahead...engine is in good shape. omc manuals ( oem ) are difficult to find in one piece...thanks...k
