Been slow going this week, but wired in a pair of momentary switches for checking battery voltages.

Tonight all I got done was securing the fore and aft battery straps before hordes of skeeters chased me away. Air is heavy with storms on the way tonight. Time to drag out the Thermacell units before I do any more out there again.

In spite of some rain yesterday afternoon and much of the night, I got all the important things on my diminishing checklist completed this weekend.

Wired the new Garmin 93sv, tested and did a software update. Won't be mounting the transducer though until the trolling motor goes on later. I can at least use it for GPS and maps for now. After looking at 5" and 7" units I knew I had to pop for a 9".

Secured the bilge pump.

Got anchor and mooring lines made up.

Installed a marine fire extinguisher even though not required.

The old transom saver I rebuilt wasn't long enough so I picked up a section of square SS tubing to extend it and got that installed.

Did some ethanol separation on some 87 octane and mixed it 50/50 with 93 octane ethanol-free gas.

Hooked up the muffs and did some test runs with the motor. Sure is quieter than the 2 cylinder. Third time I started it the starter would not disengage from the flywheel, so I had to free it up and gave it a good lube. Tried it several times after and seems fine now.

Except for a few minor odds and ends, she's about ready.

Had my appointment for the wrist this morning. Specialist says my wrist issue is "De Quervain Tenosynovitis" and shot me with cortisone. Sure hope that does it. Really would rather avoid surgery.

Been doing little stuff for the boat each evening. Added a cut off switch for power to the helm just ahead of the controls, tidied up the main wire runs in the boat with split conduit, added 3 folding cup holders, took 5ft out of the fuel line and replaced the inline filter, added a hitch extension and a few other small items. Target day is Sunday when my buddy Dan and I are both off work.

Sounds like a Frenchy issue. Did some review and looks like you're on the first part of treatment. Hopefully the shot works. I get 1 in my knee 1 or 2 a year. Also their is a wrist/hand wrap.
Best of luck Eric! Sucks getting younger.!!

So Sun might be the SPLASH?

I've been wearing a wrist support for over 3 months now, but that one looks more like the thumb one the doctor mentioned.

Yes, praying for Sunday - no storms please

Anticipation is killing me. Checked and double checked everything (I hope). Added more wire holders to the conduit, vacuumed, scrubbed and rinsed the decks, cleaned the battery boxes, checked all battery connections, strapped down the battery boxes, INSTALLED THE PLUG, hooked up the water and did another test run of the motor and lastly installed the travel cover and rear tie down strap. All I can do now is day dream about tomorrow morning.

Almost forgot - also taking my old trolling motor along just in case lol
